‘fit to play’ musician’s conditioing Program
This series of exercises is designed to gradually increase your strength, postural endurance and overall physical condition. You can mix and match individual exercises depending on your ability and fitness.
For each exercise within the videos, complete 2-3 sets of 12-16 repetitions before moving on to the next exercise, ensuring that within each set you are starting to tire a little at the end of the repetitions. If it is too easy then progress to the next level or increase the band resistance. You will only need:
- exercise bands and somewhere to anchor them
- a foam roller
- the motivation to get ‘fit to play’ and reduce your playing-related pain.
